Hello pbmc and thank you for your inquiry. No, it is not dimmable and it uses incandescent bulbs. Thank you
Hello Nick and thank you for your inquiry. This fixture is round as the diameter is 5". Thank You.
Hello T0007 and thank you for your inquiry. Model # P8574-01 or P8587-01 gaskets may be able to help minimize the draft. Thank You.
Hello, Model #P8046-09 is a 4" Eyeball Trim for 4" Housing (P830/P831/P832) for P832-TGnon ic it takes bulb 75PAR16/50PAR20. For additional information on the bulb, you will need to contact a bulb manufacturer. Thank you
Thank you for your recent inquiry with The Home Depot. Unfortunately, there is no compatible "IC" rated that is also a remodel housing available for the 4" eyeball trim. If you could use the 5" eyeball trim the model number is P8176-09/30K and the housing is P184-TG. The P184-TG is both remodel and "IC" rated. Thanks!
Thank you for your recent inquiry with The Home Depot. For the P8046 trim, the P831-AT is "IC" rated, the P830-TG is new construction "Non-IC" rated, and the P832-TG is remodel "Non-IC" rated. The UL Listing has recently issued safety standards to cover use of “equivalent” lamps in light fixtures that are marked for use with an incandescent lamp (i.e. 100-watt MAX Type A). UL has advised manufacturers (including Progress Lighting) that customers can install CFL/LED lamps as long as the equivalent rating does not exceed the original maximum wattage. For example, if Brand X advertises that a 13-watt CFL equals a 60-watt incandescent lamp, that 13-watt lamp can be used in a fixture that has a MAX rating of >=60 watts. It is the customer’s discretion to choose to install equivalent CFL/LED lamps. Customers should pay careful attention to the bulb manufacturer’s warning/caution statements on the packaging or printed on the lamp. For example, many CFL/LED will indicate on the packaging that they cannot be used in an enclosed fixture or used with a dimmer. Thanks!
PAR-20 and the other names listed here merely tell you a bulb's shape, size, and how focused the light is upon exit. A PAR-20 bulb (or any of the others listed above) can come in either incandescent or LED. Further, a PAR-20 LED bulb (just as an example) may or may not be dimmable. If it doesn't say "dimmable" on the package, it's probably not.

They are just a cover you need a electrician to hard wire them you need the inside do you have a old high hat there if not you need to buy the piece inside its going to cost a lot of money to have them put in I did not like them only because the lip was small around the edge I have the guts there already. For that price they should have the whole thing all the parts but they are a very good quality. take them back to the store like i did go to a electrical supply house near you this way they will help you its cheaper to return them to the store then shipping them back. The socket/wiring are part of the recessed housing (the fixture that goes inside the ceiling). The trim is only the decorative portion of the fixture that you see below the ceiling. The bullet points indicate "Select recessed housing and trim for complete fixture". We offer 4 housings compatible with this trim: P831-AT, P830-TG and P832-TG
