how do I change out the pilot drill bit

To change the pilot drill bit, you will need to pull down the rubber ring, then push the retaining pin out. After that, you can replace the pilot bit with an HC88 bit. I am trying tp drill a hole on the overhang outdoor soffit of the property to install 5 inch LED lights. The soffit is covered with metal wire and stucco. Will this drill bit be able to penetrate the stucco & wire mesh material?
