E6000 adhesive will work great on marble! Ensure your surface is clean, dry and free of dirt. For best results, lightly roughen surface before use and wipe clean with alcohol. Apply E6000 directly to each surface to be bonded or repaired. Allow the adhesive to partially cure for approximately 2 minutes before mating the surfaces together. The product cures by solvent evaporation and this begins that process. Allow to cure for 24 hours. Depending on the materials and temperature, maximum strength may not be reached for 48 to 72 hours. E6000 is a great choice for anchoring into brick. It will bond very well to brick but because it is solvent based (and cures via this solvent evaporating), it may take an extended time to fully dry--up to 3 full days. It is difficult to estimate how many tubes or how much product will be needed--it depends on the depth and width of the hole and how big the anchor is that will be mounted. E6000 can be used for bonding the boot of a railing post and it should bond well. For best results treat the product as a contact adhesive, meaning apply the product to both surfaces and allow about 2 minutes for the product to get tacky before mating the two together and clamping/securing with weight for 24 hours. Be sure to clean the surfaces with alcohol or acetone prior to applying. Thank you for your support of Eclectic Products and The Home Depot!
Hi Markus! E6000 dries to a rubber-like consistency that is flexible and moves with the adhered material. While it adheres well to many plastics, E6000 is not recommended for use on any plastics containing polystyrene, polyethylene, polypropylene. You may want to test a small area first before applying to your entire project. Make sure your surface is clean, dry and free of dirt. For best results, lightly roughen surface before use. Thank you for your recent inquiry with The Home Depot, John. This item is a 6-pack. The clear adhesive, Internet #203279322, is a single pack. We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you in the future. Thank you for shopping Home Depot.
In short, it's better. It's more impervious to chemicals. It is stronger than clear. It has carbon black in it, which costs more money. And stock up because it is going to go away. Yep, Because it 'cause it's cancer in California. Lab Rats.
