The Duet Transport Chair/Rollator by Drive Medical comes in an attractive black finish and combines the features of a rollator and transport chair in one unit. An individual has the ability to ambulate independently or be pushed safety by a care giver. This transport chair/rollator comes with a comfortable padded seat with a large pouch underneath to easily and securely transport personal items. Inside the pouch is a convenient handle to aid with folding the chair/rollator. It has locking, flip up armrests, and a flip down footrest to aid the user while the Duet is used in the transport chair mode.

When being used as a transport chair - do the wheels still get stuck on the foot rest when trying to turn the unit or have you corrected this flaw yet? I had one of these a few years ago for my mom and if she didn’t actively push the foot rest outward while turning, the front wheel would get stuck on the foot rest bar making it impossible to turn or even launching her from the chair depending on how fast we were going. I need a rollator for myself now and figured I’d just get the dual function one off the get go, but I don’t want to have that same issue.
Well - sort of. The foot-rest is adjustable. When it is all the way up (the shortest position) there is no problem hitting the wheels - even during tight/sharp turns. If you have the footrest in the lowest/longest setting, it can hit the wheels so wide turns should be used. Since we only use the transport chair for short trips - we just keep the footrest in the highest/shortest position.
