What is the maximum recessed depth dimension needed? My old medicine cabinet is 4.25" deep, recessed portion is 3.5". The specs say this is 5" deep- don't want it to protrude from the wall.
Hi, the 5" is the entire depth of the mirror cabinet. Just the recessed area is about 4". Hope this helps.

The recessed dimensions in the web site are listed as 14.75" by 24.75". This doesn't agree with any of the previous answers. Most cabinets of this type specify a rough-in of 14.50" by 24.00", which is exactly what mine are.
