How often does the filter need to be replaced? how much is the replacement filter and can I purchase them at home depot?

No drain line nearby. Can I run the drain into the attic and connect to the vent pipe?
Yes the drain can run up to 500 ft away up and down walls.
We currently have a leased RO unit and our contract is coming due so we're looking for a replacement. The current unit has a small water line running to it from the water source and a small line running from it to the drain. Will this unit require any additional plumbing?
No it will be a plug and play.
What is the plumbing requirement like for this unit? Does it have to be hooked to a sink to work? Or can it be installed directly to our water line?

If we don't hear from you a few points worth mentioning. The system you have is designed to be attached to water that is microbiologically safe to drink (tap water treated with chlorine or well water that is pre-treated). Our system does not add TDS to water, only removes it from the incoming water. TDS is comprised of Inorganic salts are made up of positively charged cations (calcium, magnesium, potassium and sodium) and negatively charged anions (carbonates, nitrates, bicarbonates, chlorides and sulfates). The TDS level is how much of the total dissolved solids are present in the water. Our system doesn't have the ability to add anything like that to the water, it only removes it.
