Does the Z line 36 inch 400 CFM convertible wall mount range hood in hammered copper crown molding need to have vents in it if you’re recirculating and can this be flush to the ceiling

For recirculating (ductless) installation, you would need to purchase a vented crown molding (available for purchase at zlineparts.com), which allows the filtered air to properly vent back into the room. Because a vented crown molding is required for recirculating, the unit would not be installed completely flush to the ceiling. For optimal performance, we recommend positioning the hood 30–36 inches above the cooking surface.
