Hi beckihill, Thank you for reaching out. The power cord is pre-installed on the hot water tank. Additionally, all the necessary parts to install the faucet into the counter and to connect it to the tank are included in the box. If there are missing parts in the box, you can contact us at https://support.insinkerator.com/app/ask. We'd be glad to help.

Hello, so what is the hottest temperature and coldest temperature of water this unit can create?

    Answer This Question

Hi Fifi60, Thank you for your question. This model dispenses near-boiling hot water at approximately 200°F. The cold side delivers regular tap water at the temperature of your incoming supply line. If you're looking for chilled water, we offer an optional chiller unit (model: CWT100) for that purpose. You can view the full specifications of this model here: https://www.insinkerator.com/documents/involve-hc-wave-specifications-en-us-74526.pdf

I only have 3/8's of an inch from the edge of the hole to the granite. The hole is 1.5 inch circle. Can you tell if this dispenser will fit. I had another one with hot/cold and it did not fit. Sink can not be drilled because it's cast iron.

      Answer This Question

Thank you for your inquiry, Madelyn. This hot water dispenser needs a clearance of 2 5/8 inches from the center of the hole to the wall to ensure the dispenser handle can open fully. Additionally, the required diameter of the sinkhole is 1½ inches. Here's the specifications for this model: https://www.insinkerator.com/documents/involve-series-h-wave-specifications-en-us-74522.pdf

                Answer This Question

Hi, Tricey. Thanks for your question. Our F-1000S filter system can only reduce particulates, chlorine taste, and odor for clean-tasting water. It won't remove sulfate. If you require additional assistance, feel free to contact us via https://support.insinkerator.com/app/ask.

                  Tea Temperature 170%
Water so hot it can scald you! FEW hot water dispensers get the water hot enough for tea, instant oatmeal, etc. The attached photo shows 166 but that was down a couple degrees by the time i situated it for the picture. And that is at the factory recommended dial setting which is not the highest. We also use if on a sponge with a touch of detergent to quickly wash a pot or few things we don't want in the dishwasher, thereby avoiding wasted water running the tap to get hot (we live in often-droughty California; our solar panels providing the electricity ;-)

                    Junk underneath the shiny surface.
For a very expensive faucet, the material is inadequate. Under the shiny finish is an easily corrodable metal, likely cast aluminum. The problem is that at the base where it attached, there are portions that are not coated. Being in a wet location, this results in corrosion, which eventually causes the handle to break off. I see others have the same problem. If it were a cheap fixture, I could tolerate replacing, but this is a cheaply made product for a premium price. Avoid.

Hi Daniel, we're sorry to hear about your experience with our product. The faucet has brass construction. Many of our consumers tell us that their instant hot water dispenser lasted 7 or 8 years and some even report 10-15 years depending on service conditions, usage patterns, and local water quality. Your feedback is important to us and will be shared to our dispenser team. If you need assistance, you can always reach out to us via https://support.insinkerator.com/app/ask.
                      Breaks often, expensive to fix/replace
I've had both the water tank and the faucet break. First the water tank died; customer service said it's quite common, and you can't buy just the heating element. A couple of months later, the hot water handle broke off, material fatigue. Even if you can find parts to buy separately, the prices are such that you might as well just buy a whole new kit. It's great to have while it works, but be prepared to shell out $100s (plus plumbers) every now and then.

Hi, thanks for leaving your comments. We understand how frustrating this experience must have been for you and we're sorry that both of them broke off. The life of an InSinkErator® Hot Water Dispenser is entirely dependent upon service conditions, usage patterns, and local water quality, just as is expected with conventional home water dispensers. However, many of our consumers tell us that their instant hot water dispenser lasted 7 or 8 years and some even report 10-15 years. If we can do anything else for you, please feel free to reach us at https://support.insinkerator.com/app/ask.

Fairly easy to install. Love having near boiling water immediately. The finish I would NOT call satin nickel. It’s more of a brushed nickel. There’s a slight difference in finish between the faucet and the insinkerator disposer button. Also, make sure that if you have granite make sure that you have the correct size hole drilled. We had our counters installed and they had to come back and make the hole bigger. Hope that it lasts a LONG time for what I paid for it.

Love the product. Works well, but in less than two years, The arm snapped off on the hot water side. Now I have to scramble to find a replacement part and pay a handyman to install it.

                          Great; no more Sunbeam Hotshot
Danger, you will be drinking more tea with this InSink HOT100. I am mad at myself for not doing this years ago. Don't delay, get one for yourself. I ran the 118v circuit to the GFCI outlet over to the new H100 location. I had a junction box under the sink for the switched garbage disposal power, so I took power before the switch and ran 40 inches of alum flex with THHN #12 AWG into the metal outlet box. Plumbed the water from my RO filtering system that is also used for the ice maker from my 2 tank storage RO unit downstairs. This HOT100 is rated at 6.5 amp/750 watts so there is enough power for the PRO 880 7/8 HP garbage disposal too. I did not use the faucet that came with the HOT100 and purchased the InSink Indulge hot & cold water dispenser. The PRO880 I can't hear when it is running. I am going to install a lighted handle 'on' switch someday.

                            My favorite small appliance
Our home came with an instant hot 24 years ago. I've been through 3; living beachside is tough on appliances. I use this every day. Tea, oatmeal, head start for boiling water for pasta, cleaning, filling steam mop, blanching vegetables and many other uses. I will not be without one, I love the look too, my first one was more functional, now more styles are available. My son had one installed in his home after growing up with such a useful appliance. My neighbor also installed one.
