are they chip resistant
Yes, I believe they are chip resistant although I am always careful with my dishes.
I've had certified int'l bowls same size, for at least 7 years; they never chipped! Through daily use and the dishwasher the glazed finish is showing wear. I'm so happy with these I'm buying another set of 4 - the size and shape make them so much more practical than dinner plates for most meals, certainly not limited to pasta, soup or salad.thanks Home Depot, these were not easy to find.
Seem to be, but I'm very careful with mine. They do very well in the dishwasher.
I am very careful with my dishes but I put these bowls in the dish washer. I do not think they would chip like pottery bowls.
Bettejean, They are a good quality ceramic bowl but you will have to be careful as ceramics can chip.
