The wall where I'd plan to mount this only comes down about 24" and then opens up into the living room. Will the 24" of backing be enough to mount this fan, or will I need to get an island-style mount?
Hello Nate, It is difficult to fully understand you exact requirements. Please always be sure to review the installation instructions or consult with a licensed electrician or contractor. On our instruction manual page 7 under Wall drilling and brackets fixing it states: min 25" above the electric hob or 30" above the gas hob. Place chimney mounting brackets on the wall 1/8'' from the ceiling or upper limit aligning the center with the vertical line reference.
