Hi, the wire is 12g. Thank you for pointing this out, we will get it corrected!
Hello! This is not a good idea, extending the cords this way can lead to overheating and overloading, creating a risk for electrical fire. Please reach out to us at service@wpowereq.com or 1-855-944-3571 and we'd be happy to assist you with any other questions
Yes, this cord can be used with a plug adapter to power a refrigerator. Please double-check to be sure that the power requirements of your refrigerator are within the starting and running watts of the generator you plan to use. For any other questions, please feel free to contact us at service@wpowereq.com or 1-855-944-3571 and we'd be happy to assist you.

Hi Ed,

Our 30A cords will either have12AWG or 10AWG wire - either can handle 30A peak current. If the peak current is 30A or less than 30A, then 12AWG is fine. Our supplier certificate indicates both 10AWG and 12AWG can be used for this cord. We hope that helps ease your concerns!

We are in the process of updating the title and product description to reflect this. Thank you for pointing this out.
Yes, the WGen9500 has the compatible L14-30R outlet for this cord.
This cord will only work with items and purposes with 30 amps.
at 50' and 30 amps should be 10 gauge and some charts show 8 gauge. A lot of 7500 watt generators sold like yours have 9000+ watts peaks amp and 79 amps/120 volts and 38.5/240 volts. 7500 watts / 120 volts = 79 amps or 7500 watts / 240 volts = 38.5 amps
We assure you that the ratings for wires are meant for a flexible amperage range, and this cord is engineered with 4 wires at 12 gauge.
Hi Westinghouse: Look in your manual for a 7500 watt generator you sell https://cdn.westinghouseoutdoorpower.com/owners_manuals/WGen7500_manual_web.pdf Page 16 calls for 8 gauge 30 amps for 50 feet.
