The backless stool has advantages, it takes up less space in the area than those with high backs and is more informal. This works nicely with the design which is a classic relaxed style with its Rush woven seat. It works well next to a kitchen work island or counter for kids and adults having a snack or quick meal. The ivory color is also well done and has a clean look. This is a 25-inch stool, other stools are 30-inches depending on the counter top height. Some assembly is required and it goes fast, The legs and seat are attached with screws. The stretchers (leg braces) have both tendons and take a screw at each end. I also used some of my own wood glue on the tendons before assembly for added strength. It's easily done since the tendons are exposed during assembly. Wiggly legs are normally an issue over time with stools so thought it a good idea. My advice is put the seat screws in first, but don't tighten all the way. Allow some movement to put in the stretchers all around and then tighten down the seat screws followed by the stretcher screws. In any case, everything seems sturdy and this stool should hold up nicely. This is the nice part of assembling furniture, you can decide how it comes together. I really like this stool and if care is used with the woven seat can last a long time.

Very nice counter stool, well designed and easy to put together, very secure built. I like this seat and it has the perfect height to fit my counter top. This stool comes with very easy to follow directions, lots of how to pictures and hardware. Includes the allen wrench in the hardware contents. All painted white except for the seat which is light brown in color. This is a very nice seat to sit on and large enough to feel real secure. I highly recommend this product.
