What is the recommended height of mattress and box spring?
Hello Emily, We recommend using a box spring of either of the following: a. A standard box spring with a height of 9”. b. A low profile box spring – (half the height) height of 4” – 6”. The mattress will sit lower. c. Ultra-low provide box spring with a height of 2”. If you do not choose to use a box spring please use the following mattresses: 1. Mattress with a standard height of 8” – 12” 2. Low profile mattress. 3. For platform beds that do no require a box spring, add a Bunkie board instead. Bunkie boards are about 2” in height and made of particle board or plywood covered in fabric. Bunkie boards are great for extra support if not using a box spring.
Does this require a box spring? Or can I just place the mattress on the frame?
