How many pieces on a palet?
Can these be cemented together in a wall, or is the surface too uneven for that?
How does this block compare to a regular cement retaining walll block in terms of durability? I am planning on building a fire pit with them.
We purchased these beautiful blocks for our landscaping. Did not use for a wall. But, they are very heavy, and would say just as durable as regular cement block. Not sure if you would lose the finish of old world if they get hot, though. I would call the manufacturer of the brick and ask them your concerns before purchasing.
Perfect for building a fire pit. I would suggest using some pictures construction adhesive on each level.
Why is this stone no longer offered in the Harvest Blend color, reddish?
We ran into the same problem when purchasing, so went to other Home Depots to check their supply out and found the reddish ones. I think it's just how the they fired in the ovens. A lot have the orange look, which we, also, did not want. We had to hand pick through them all.
