The measurements I am getting does not match your advertised measurement. Is there a different way I am supposed to measure. When I do the math it is just over 18 ft not 20 ft.

The product description states there are forty 6-inch pieces. 40 pieces x 6 inches = 240 inches. 240 inches / 12 inches per foot = 20 feet. Each piece is 7 inches long, but the interlocking design reduces the effective length to 6 inches per piece. We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you in the future. Would pieces hold together if I tied them with plastic ties in a straight line along a 4-inch high space at bottom of my balcony railing? Am trying to find something to keep my cat from crawling under the open space. Balcony is on 8th floor corner of building, and we have strong winds. Railing is about 15-feet long.
Hello. Each piece slides in together. Where you would need to use a plastic tie strap is attaching the pieces that you put together with the railing. Hope this helps.
How many feet does it actually cover
