Are the outdoor units, I bought the 48" model, chimney's actually 36" wide? It is being installed into the roof rafters which are 16" on center which leaves just under 15" between the rafters.
I meant to type 16" wide as the rafters are 16" on center.
Does this product have a dual motor or single? And so, a 6 duct or 8 duct size?

You say 700 CFM? But there's only an 8-in diameter exhaust port. That is normally good for about 300 CFM how big does the ducting need to be for 700? According to my chart it should be like 14 in

So why can’t the KECOMi-36 be used outdoors in a large roof covered ( open style enclosure ) porch?
Hello, The only difference is the grade of stainless steel. The outdoor approved range hoods are 304 stainless steel, which is meant to help prevent rusting and is weather resistant. The indoor range hoods use 430 stainless steel. Thanks!
Continued from above... bottom of hood, should I include or allow for when grill is open?
As soon as I receive it I install everything and then I find out there’s a really bad suction I have a 1200 CFM it is so bad it feels like 100 CFM
Hi Shana, Yes, this model includes 2 telescoping 16" chimney pieces. There should be a 36" clearance for hoods that will be placed above grill. It should be measured from the grill top to the bottom of the hood. Thanks!
