Please use the fabric covered elastic straps attached to secure the top portion of the protector to your furniture. The elastic allows the protector to fit multiple sizes of recliners, This will keep the back from coming down.

In addition to keep the protector from shifting there are three tabs on the back of the protector, at the seat seams. These tabs can be tucked into the seat cushion and will help keep it in place.

Hi and thanks for your comment. Our ready made slipcovers are meant to fit a range of recliners from small to large. If you have a smaller recliner then it will give it more coverage if you have a jumbo it will give it a bit less. However the seat widths of recliners are standard in the furniture industry so when we developed the specification we used that as a reference.

Hi and thanks for your comment. Our Fairmont is a solution based product. It is meant to cover over your furniture to protect it. Since it is a covering it cant be super thick otherwise it will not lay flat and wouldn't then be able tuck it into the sides and back of the furniture. The material is very durable. I am sorry you do no feel that way. Do you have a fabric covered or leather covered furniture? If you have leather yes it may slip but that can be remedied by using a non slip rug pad cut to size or one of those fabric shelf liners that are non slip (they are kind of rubbery). The sizing was made based on a range of various recliners in the furniture industry. The seat width is an average seat width. What will vary is if you have a very stuffed or oversized arms or back it will look different than a less filed or more modern silhouette but it will all stiff fit as the main objective is to give coverage and add some fashion flair at the same time.
