Knobs are actually plastic but look like metal.
SaturdayShopper1, the rotisserie kit version adds the motorized spit and forks, whereas the 720-1136 (Gourmet Pro) includes in a solid griddle insert. So your choice depends on spit-roasting vs. flat-top cooking. Although, the 720-1136 can have an universal rotisserie kit installed on. Questions? Call us at 800-913-8999.
Also this model has a propane scale built in where the later does not. So Rotisserie and scale vs an additional skillet.
Mike, once you’ve got the rotisserie motor and spit rods set up, slide your seasoned bird or roast onto the forks and tighten them securely. Then: Light the outer burners at both ends of the grill , these create indirect heat zones on either side of the food. Turn on the rotisserie motor so the spit slowly turns, ensuring even cooking. If you’re in a hurry, you can also light the two middle burners for a bit of direct heat beneath the meat, but watch carefully to avoid flare-ups. When it’s done, switch off the burners, let the spit coast to a stop, then carefully remove your perfectly rotated roast. Enjoy, and if you have any questions or run into trouble, give us a ring at 800-913-8999.
