Country Style Iron Birdhouse Stake New Britain

HI LJD1. Great question. You could not attach this birdhouse to a slab of wood attached to a pole without making permanent modifications to the items (which would invalidate any warranty). This birdhouse stake ships disassembled. The iron stake (pole) is screwed together by hand. I would imagine that you could skip assembly and use a saw to cut off the top portion of the stake that is welded to the floor of the birdhouse. Then you could attach the back of the birdhouse to the slab of wood by securing it with a screw or weld or something of the sort. This style does not have a back door for cleaning purposes so you wouldn't be messing with any functionality, just the design.

We have a showroom in Dallas with several Dallas customers who LOVE our birdhouses. We recommend using a clear protective spray every 6-12mths, just to provide additional protection and keep the finish looking brand new. Our other recommendation would be to display them in a shaded area, so they aren't in direct sunlight. But every piece is powder coated and safe for birds to use. We are located in PA so deal with both very hot and cold climates - ever Spring/Summer numerous birds choose our metal birdhouses to nest and lay their eggs. We hope you and your birds enjoy them as much as we do!

Hi Will, Yes, our large birdhouse stakes require partial assembly in order to keep the cost of shipping down. It comes in 3 pcs and is very simple to assemble. All you have to do is hand twist/screw the 2 pcs of pole(stake) together and then twist/hand-screw the birdhouse to the stake. Voila, you have a fully functional standing birdhouse that is ready to be inserted into the ground. No tools are needed and instructions with images are included (thought usually not necessary).
