This product takes 1/3rd less time to install versus a conventional incandescent can with toolless installation. Features 5 selectable color temperatures to choose with a switch ranging from warm (2700K) to-daylight (5000K) allowing customization for endless applications.

How much clearance do you need above the ceiling? The fixture is 5" long, to the end of the junction box. I see a spec that says: ceiling opening 6-1/2". Do you really need 6.5" clearance? Would this work with 5.5" clearance?

What is maximum thickness of drywall this will work well with? I have two layers of 1/2” so it is one inch thick.
