Remember when you could drill with maximum accuracy. Power through metal, wood, plastics, and more with the WEN 8 in. 5-Speed Drill Press. Don't let our compact design fool you. Between the 5 operating speeds, the 2 in. spindle travel, and the sturdy construction, you'll have way more precision than a standard handheld drill. Our 2.3 Amp induction motor features ball bearings for smooth balanced performance even at high speed. Manually set your speed to either 740, 1100, 1530, 2100, or 3140 RPM by adjusting the belt position on the 2 spindles. The easy-to-read, locking depth stop allows for accurate and repeatable drilling operations. The keyed chuck with JT33 spindle taper accepts bits ranging from 1/20 in. to 1/2 in. Dia (1.5 to 13 mm). The table bevels 45° left and right for angled drilling. The base is designed with holes for mounting onto a bench or work stand. Clamps and vises are easily mounted to the slotted table, making work-holding safe and effective. And because its a WEN product, your drill press comes backed by a 2-year warranty, a stocked inventory of replacement parts, and a helpful customer phone line. Remember when you could drill holes in almost anything? Remember WEN.

Says right there…d’oh 35lbs.
It’s 12volt, come on now, quit it already. You can’t be serious, This country already looks bad enough, try to follow along now, would ya. It’s almost lunch time, hang in there.
I doubt it
I know you may have figured this out by now, but for anyone else, like me , that writes in before they are finished with the tool, the middle of the key is spring loaded and goes in when pressed.
With the right bit n easy pressure and 6 days later n 10gals of oil you’ll be done. It’s far too small to hold up to long term abuse of drilling metal. Gotta reach deeper in those pockets n level up. Wanna play? You gonna pay, those are the rules
This drill press has a 2.3 Amp motor and a maximum speed of 3140 RPM. While it can drill through metal, its suitability for 1/4" thick angle iron depends on the type of steel and the drill bit used. For harder steels or frequent drilling of thick metal, a more powerful drill press might be necessary.
The spindle fits a drill chuck with JT33 taper.
it's the chuck
This drill press has a 2.3 Amp motor and operates at five speeds, ranging from 740 to 3140 RPM. While it can handle hardwood, using large Forstner bits or a 3-inch hole saw might strain the motor, especially at higher speeds. For optimal performance with larger bits, it's recommended to use slower speeds and consider drilling pilot holes to reduce the load on the motor.
You drilling Hickory or Walnut? Both are hardwoods. Itll cut as long as the correct speed n pressure are working cohesively. Force it n well poor performance equals poor results, ci?
Definitely, your work can spin out of control without being fastened down and can cause injury to your hand trying to hold on to your work.
