Yes. It’s not too difficult.
Yes, it needs to be assemble. It will probably take 20-30 minutes to assemble it.
how bright is the light bulb that comes with it, and can i put a regular light bulb in it as a replacement?
The light bulb included with the lamp is 805 lumens and consumer can replace it with LED light bulb type with E26 light bulb base code.
I find the light is pretty bright. I use it to read by. I’m not sure about a larger watt bulb.

Does the shade arm swivel? Can you move it to the side to get more light where it's needed? I do a lot of projects while sitting and I'm looking for something like this but with an arm that can be moved side to side.
It’s not made to. There is a nut to tighten it up underneath. I suppose you could loosen the nut some to allow it to move.
The arm is fixed, so it doesn't swivel.
