These things are nowhere near the complexity of a microwave or dishwasher, yet they cost darn near as much… you would think they would at least double check their own drill templates to make sure they don’t make you drill a 2” hole in the wrong place on your $800 upper cabinet.

This Hood is beautiful, how ever it started to bubble up in the first month, and it also chipped easily within the first few days. It's stunning, but those details I can not get out of my mind. Baby it if you get one. As for the installation, my contractor said it took 2 hrs longer than expected I've had this product for about 5 months now - it's works great but I don't like the fact of the bubbling up!

I was looking for a exhaust fan for my cabin and this came up. I was skeptical at the time but what the heck. Few days later it arrived I gotta tell you it's built like a tank. OMG thick metal and a powerful and quiet fan I can 't wait to install this thing. . It come with a flex duct but not a 90 for the exhaust and you will need to get a vent of some kind as well. There is a complete set of instructions and a pretty nice set of mounting hardware, that will suit most any application. ( I'm sure some where some one will have to get something else but it's adequate.) Any how if you want high quality and you like a retro look ( think Chevy Bellaire 1955 ) you will love this fan. OH it comes with a mounting template as well so it's real DYI friendly.

I love this unique style appliances and this will go nicely with my matching fridgeator. I love the classic look and love the mint green color which will look awesome in shop's kitchen that will have a classic design. The motor is very powerful and has good filters that just need washing. The hood is all metal and well built.. Motor on high is loud. The lights are yellowish/ slight greenish which is not bad ,makes it feel classic. The one reason for 4 star is the mint finish is a flat shiny look verses the fridge has a sparkle finish on the sides and doors ,only the top of fridge which is plastic has same finish as this vent hood, I wish the hood had that same sparkle finish, but it still looks amazing. Includes a very good quality expandable vent flex pipe, not like the typical cheap box store kind. People may think 24 inch is small but it's actually bigger than most vent motors that come on microwaves and wooden vent hood, or those simple under cabinet vents. I know because I work with kitchens everyday. This has much more air coverage than most standard vents you find in homes.

Excellent template (separate cardstock, not something you have to cut out of paper) will make installation that much easier. The classic shape and white finish is just a joy to look at compare to today's hard stainless steel lines and edges. The DUAL motors and fans are fairly quiet at their slowest speed, not bad at middle, and the typical jet engine blast on high. The controls are front and center and easy to figure out by touch, though I'd prefer the light control was set aside a bit or different in shape. The dual LED lights are brilliant white. The fan radio buttons click easily between settings of off-1-2-3, so getting the speed you want isn't hard. Even at low speed, the built-in back-draft damper is folded completely back in the airflow. The air inlet is basically the entire length and width of the body so you don't get the additional noise of sucking it through a small vent space, but even at low speed the fans moves a LOT of air, so you'll have no problems capturing your stove-top steam here. The three stainless steel grease catchers look very pro and pop in and out without any fuss, plus there's a grease tray at the back for overflow. Pre-wired to a standard 120V 3-prong plug, so just plug and go. Hoping to pick up some of the other kitchen appliances in this classic collection.

Retro grand look to this exhaust fan over our range. It has good filtration and exhaust outside of the side of the house. The fan itself has very good power and it’s nice the way it pulls the air off the range, smoke and grease as well. The filters are cleanable in the dishwasher if necessary. But we have a powerful sink spray so that’s what we’ve been generally using.

This is being installed in an in-law apartment kitchen, replacing a 20 year old unit that is damaged. It arrived securely packaged. It features a dual fan system. It also comes with a grid to hold the filters. See pics below.

I bought a Colonial Period house. Anything that existed at the time, I am restoring. Things that did not, I am installing state of the art (e.g. I removed all light switches; all my lighting is now Smart). I installed a nice Stainless Steel Hood. Problem was, it cast a dark shadow around the Stove. It had very bright LED lights, but they were not Smart. I figured I could connect it to a Smart Outlet, but the Hood had a touch panel, and the natural state of the light is Off. It was the only lights in my house I had to walk over and turn On. I was manually turning them On/Off every time I went in the kitchen (or forgetting to turn Off). I love the Retro look of this, but the fact it had old fashioned switches, is what made me get it. It works great! I have plugged it into a Smart Outlet (making sure not to use one that Dim's) and I leave the Light Switch pushed in (On position). My Motion Sensor turn On/Off the lights, or I can ask Alexa to do it. No more dark areas. With its 2 powerful fan motors, I get more CFM (700CFM), and less noise (65dB at full speed), than my last one. Max power consumption is 2A / 240W; most Smart Outlets can easily handle it. A nice touch, they added a small cushion to the metal flaps (see pic). No metal clanging noise when fans first turn On, and the flaps open, and hit together. Only issues I had ... the directions recommend it be mounted to the wall and underside of a cabinet. If mounting only to the wall, they provide 2 Angle Brackets (directions call them Hinges). Not sure why they have 3 holes on one side, when I only see 2 screws/holes on the side of the Hood? The Spec Sheet claims the lights are 1.5W, but they are 15W (GU10). When I opened it, I did a double take, thinking they sent me the wrong color. I ordered Ocean Mist Turquoise; based on the name, I expected a Blue Green. They also sell a Robin Egg Blue. If someone asked me what color I got, I would say Robin Egg Blue or (Famous Jewelry Store) Blue. I know pics/screens distort color, and colors are subjective. So, I included a pic with a box from that Iconic Robin Egg Blue Jewelry Store (with name blacked out).
