It's just a term used by Klein. It doesn't mean anything
I wondered the same thing. And why is the tip black?
A profilator is a specialized machine that Klein Tools uses to get very precise geometry on screwdriver heads. The word "profilated" was coined at Klein to communicate that the tools are made this way and the term was added to our catalogs, along with a description of the benefits of the method. Over time, the name became associated with Klein Tools as a manufacturing source, and thus achieved trademark status, while its function has become obscured. The profilation process is essentially a simultaneous spinning and grinding process, allowing us to shape and sharpen the tips of our drivers at the same time. The primary alternative to profilation is forging the tip of the driver in place, then rough cutting to eliminate extraneous material, then grinding. Our screwdriver tips are precision ground and sharpened by a profilating machine, and so are going to be harder and sharper than most, and the tolerances of the tip will be tighter.
It is Klein's attempt at being fancy. It is not a real word. I us these tools in my shop daily and the tips hold up for several years just as good as snap on.
Klein Tools #2 Profilated Phillips Head screwdriver has a precision-machined tip to provide a more consistent geometric symmetry than conventional Phillips-tip screwdrivers.
Klein would probably know.

They say "normal expected life of the tool". Probably less than Craftsman, but I would expect if you could damage it while using it properly, they would replace it.
I get about 5 - 10 years from a Phillips-Tip Screwdriver
It is a $10 screwdriver that performs very well. I have used them for 30 years and never broken one. I also don't use them for pry bars.
