Urban Escape 18.75 in. H x 31.5 in. W Brown and Black Iron Entryway Bench and Shoe Storage Bench Rack

This shoe bench is very sturdy. It has two lower levels for storing shoes. It is also a bench so you can sit on it while changing shoes. It comes flat-packed so assembly is required. You will need a phillips screwdriver and I recommend a drill with an 1/16 inch bit (for pre-drilling the screw holes in the wood top). An Allen wrench is provided for most of the other screws. ASSEMBLY: Assembly is basically straightforward; however I did run into a few issues. - It was a bit of a challenge to attach the second end piece (step 3) and simultaneously align the 8 tubes that constitute the 1st and 2nd shelf levels. I recommend a second set of hands for this part of the assembly. - There were no pre-drilled screw holes for the wood top. I used some masking tape to hold the top in place, and drilled my own screw holes using a 1/16inch bit. APPEARANCE & ASTHETITICS: We were not very impressed with the distressed wood design for the bench top. That being said, we placed ours in the master bedroom closet, so it is very utilitarian and does not need to match the other bedroom furniture. FUNCTIONALITY: This unit is very functional. It is well designed and constructed for its intended purpose. One minor observation: The legs have no casters or plastic glides. If you are using this bench on a carpeted floor, it is best to use casters or glides under the legs to minimize damage to your carpet. Casters or glides can prevent the oils and stains in the wood from leaching into a damp carpet that has just been cleaned. The Bench Weight capacity as stated in the instructions is 170lbs. I am 220lbs and had no issues sitting on it.

Not sure how I feel about the Danya B - Danya Urban Escape 18.75 in. W. Brown and Black Iron Entryway Bench and Shoe Storage Bench Rack, Brown/Black. I thought that the bench would be easy peasy right, wrong lol. The instructions were So confusing, you had to really pay attention to what pole went in the right hole, and on top of that trying to align them was just comical! When I finally got to the top of the bench to put the bench part on, there were no holes for the nails to go through, so you have to screw them in manually into the bench. Not sure if I would try using a drill as the nail may go through the bench. Now that I got that of my chest lol, the little guy did look good once it was finally put together. Hard to tell what material the bench is made of, it is definitely not real wood, the design on row top is made to look that way. It dimensions are 18.75 in. H x 31.5 in. I measured it before I purchased it. And it looks pretty good for the space I chose. Overall I am satisfied with this product and would recommend it.

The instructions are easy to follow and the Allen wrench is included with the set. There is plenty of room beneath the sitting area for the safe storage of shoes. The entryway bench is light weight and easy to move around. This is a great place to have visitors place their purses, scarfs, gloves, etc. You will need to drill the holes for the final 4 screws that hold the bench top on the frame. The assembly process is easy. I highly recommend this product.
