    Excellent control, striking, and metalworking use.

      Great for striking steel
      [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this Crescent 16oz ball pean hammer to strike a cold chisel to shape stone and it was fantastic! Being as it has a hardened steel head, it is far safer compared to a claw hammer to strike other metal objects without splintering or mushroooming the steel. I would recommend this hammer to anyone needing to strike metal objects or to dimple steel for their next project.

        Trusty hammer for its size!
        [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's an awesome little hammer. I work in manufacturing, primarily with metal and when I brought this to work, my coworkers laughed. That was until they used it. Great build quality and could take a beating. I use it to "massage" stuck laser and plasma cut parts out of sheets.

          Great Ball Peen Hammer!
          [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a well built hammer. It features thick hickory handle, which has a painted grip area and feels great in your hand. The head is nicely ground and polished, and has a circular wedge keeping in securely in place. Overall, this feels very sturdy and seems like it will last for generations.

            Good solid ball peen hammer that's instantly identifiable
            [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really appreciate the packaging this comes in. Yes, it's important to protect the product in transit and on the store shelves, but it is a hammer and doesn't require a blister pack, or anything like that. The head is well-formed. The peen side is perfectly smooth, unlike the hammer I got from H-r F-t which had a "pip" in the center, and the flat side is flat. I really like the giant logo which gives the hammer character. The head seems well attached, and the tapered handle provides a solid grip.

              Great product
