Beyond first impressions, it blends into the landscape creating a peaceful and relaxing natural outdoor living environment. With simple care and maintenance, your redwood deck, fence and outdoor living structures will provide decades of excellent performance, and long-lasting value. Mendocino Redwood is one of nature's finest and strongest building materials with shear strength up to five times greater than other decking materials. Whether you're building a deck, fence, play set or outdoor living structure; the enduring strength of redwood means safety and security for those that matter most. Nature can be harsh on outdoor living spaces - but Mendocino Redwood naturally stands up to the elements, insects, decay, warping, and splitting. All while staying comfortable on bare feet even on the hottest, sunniest days. Using energy-efficient natural redwood products helps store carbon instead of energy-intensive manufactured products that release carbon, therefore lowering your carbon footprint and reducing carbon emissions. Whether you are a frequent entertainer, or prefer to relax in the quiet of your own home, decks, fences, landscapes, and garden structures made of real redwood make for a beautiful addition. Mendocino Redwood is a high-quality, long-lasting, eco-friendly building material, which makes it the right choice for outdoor construction projects.

Questions & Answers
Can you use this for exterior decking
Can common redwood be used outside without painting or any other protection?
Is this redwood green or kiln dried?
Does this red weather need to be stained. Or with stands hot cold and wet?
Redwood is naturally resistant to rot, decay, and insects, so it doesn't require staining for protection like some other wood species. However, staining can enhance its natural beauty, provide UV protection to slow down weathering, and offer some protection against moisture. Whether or not you choose to stain it depends on your desired aesthetic and the level of protection you want. Redwood can withstand hot, cold, and wet weather conditions due to its natural properties.
Is this rough, or sawn redwood?
This redwood lumber is sawn, specifically Con Common S4S. S4S stands for "surfaced four sides," meaning it has been planed smooth on all four sides. This is in contrast to rough lumber, which is unsmoothed.
Are the Common Construction grade redwood 2x4x8 boards kiln-dried, air-dried, or green?
Not kiln-dried. Was just in looking at their stock and maybe 1 out of 10 was air-dried and rest was wet and heavy. Also, mostly exterior cuts from tree so missing edges near the bark line.
What is the approximate price of California Redwood Lumber 2 x 4 x 8?
I need to know how much a 4x10x14 cost
