About This Product
The Lutron Diva dimmer switch is a simple and elegant solution designed to match your existing designer opening switches and accessories. This Diva dimmer switch is for use in 3-Way 300-Watt electronic Low-Voltage applications. You can easily turn the lights on and off with the paddle style switch. While the lights are turned on, use the slide control to adjust the lights to your desired level creating your perfect light. The paddle switch returns the lights to your favorite preset level. A soft locator light glows in the off position, making the dimmer switch easy to find in the dark. Installing a Diva dimmer switch is easy and saves energy too. You can replace your existing switch with a Diva dimmer switch in as little as 15 minutes. Then dim the lights just 50% to save 40% electricity and extend bulb life 10 times. Coordinating Claro wall plates and accessories sold separately.

Does this work with strip tape lighting

Whether this dimmer will work with your LED tape lighting depends on the driver or transformer powering the lights, as this determines the dimming requirements. The DVSCELV-303P is designed for reverse-phase dimming with electronic low-voltage (ELV) transformers and is primarily intended for incandescent and halogen lighting. My understanding is that one must use compatible "companion switches" with these dimmer switches when wiring a 3-way circuit. How do I find which switches are compatible with this Diva DVELV-303P switch?

Bought this one over a year ago to dim my dim-able led bulbs and it works great. It controls the brightness at low levels smoothly. Why does Lutron suddenly say it isn't for LED's? It didn't say this when I bought this product.
I use DVELV-303P (reverse-phase) with LEDs. It doesn't get as dim as (forward-phase) AYCL-153P but doesn't buzz. Maybe Lutron would rather you buy the more expensive (newer?) Diva DVRP-253P rated for 500-watt ELV & 250-watt LED/CFL.
For the color "Black" is it a glossy finish? The photo makes it look like it has a matte finish.
The DVELV-303P will have a gloss finish for its color.
My LED island pendant lighting and the dining table accent lighting don't dim down low and flickers at lowest dimmable setting. I was told by Lutron that this is the one. Would that work for a low voltage LED light bulb, 8-18V, 2.5W ( I have 12 of them) and I get the required dimming without flickering? The bulb model is G4LED505 G4/Bi-pin LED Light Bulb
The DVELV-303P is technically rated for 300w of incandescent/halogen bulbs on an electronic low voltage transformer. It's not uncommon that a transformer manufacturer would recommend using the DVELV-303P for LED lights, however that responsibility falls on the transformer manufacturer. Lutron suggests contacting the LED manufacturer to find a list of compatible electronic low voltage dimmers.

The DVELV-303P (single pole or 3-pole wiring) works excellent on my undercabinet Nicor LEDs. Note that Lutron sells two models, the 300P if you have one switch, or the 303P if you have two switches. The DVELV dimmer does not dim quite as low as the Lutron CL dimmers, but it keeps the lights silent and flicker-free. Also note both of these models require that a neutral wire is present in the wallbox. This isn't always the case with older wiring, best to check.
