The BEHR DECKplus 5 gal. Tint Base Semi-Transparent Waterproofing Wood Stain protects exterior wood surfaces while allowing the natural color and grain to show. It is ideal for application on decks, railings, shakes, shingles, siding, roofs, fences and furniture. The alkyd/acrylic formula provides a penetrating stain, yet still allows for an easy water cleanup.

Does this come in spray form of any sort? It takes at least 5 layers per deck board and is extremely time consuming. Any suggestions?

Can you put this stain over kills
Hi Dave, thank you for your question. We do not recommend applying our Transparent or Semi-Transparent Stains over a primer. Our Deckplus Semi-Transparent Waterproofing Wood Stain is designed for a bare and unsealed surface. Additionally, primers are typically white, which may impact the color of the stain. I recommend checking to see if the color was mixed correctly by comparing the dried stain dab on the lid of your 5-gallon bucket to the swatch in the brochure. If they match, the color is correct, and it would be best to continue your project with a new color. You may also want to pick up an 8 oz. sample of the new color to test out before committing to a larger purchased. If they don't match up, the color may have been mixed incorrectly, and we would recommend continuing your project with the correct color.
