Does this come unfinished. I want to stay in the wood, not buy a primed piece.

what is the depth of the top shelf? How thick is the very top edge that gets caulked to the wall?
    ByOct 9, 2024
    1 Answer |
    Answer This Question

This baseboard molding is 9/16 inches (0.563 inches) thick. This is the dimension of the edge that would be caulked to the wall. The question about the top shelf depth doesn't apply to baseboard molding. It is installed at the bottom of a wall, not as shelving.

How many pieces needed for 60ft?
      ByAug 19, 2023
      1 Answer |
      Answer This Question

You would need approximately 8 pieces of the 96-inch (8-foot) baseboard to cover 60 feet. Since 8 feet x 8 pieces equals 64 feet, this allows a little extra for cuts and adjustments.

      Answer This Question

I've tried to find an answer to this but best I can tell, the company Woodgrain Millwork stopped making it. There seems to be little competition for manufacturing baseboards.

Ho many pieces need from 70 feet
        ByFeb 10, 2023
        1 Answer |
        Answer This Question

You would need approximately 9 pieces of the 8-foot (96-inch) baseboard to cover 70 feet. Since 9 pieces x 8 feet/piece = 72 feet, this allows a little extra for cuts and waste.

I used this product in my basement bathroom when I finished it. As well as the bar area. I used lvp flooring so this bridges the gap between that and my baseboards well. Covered all imperfections in my cuts. Was very easy to work with and easy to cut. All pieces were very straight. Already primed so super easy to paint as well. I would definitely use these again for my next flooring project!

Terrible priming job - all finger joints telegraphed with primer ridges.
Beware - if you're anything nearing professional, you'll want to stay away from this baseboard as it's a nightmare to get right. I had to re-sand every single finger joint (and there's tons of them) as their primer had telegraphed through every single joint leaving a perpendicular line. I tried hand sanding at first (with a pad) and thought it'd be good enough but hell no - that did nothng. Only solution was orbital sanding down to raw wood at every joint and re-priming. COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME and lost hours in productivity. Never again.

          Damaged upon delivery
Delivered with a piece broken in half. Half of it was placed on top of the plastic wrapped group of other pieces so someone looks like it was intentionally shipped with broken piece. There were several other pieces damaged at the top of the moulding. Frustrating, but should still be able to fix damage and use them.

            Damaged and unusable!
Ordered 34 boards, they came in 4 boxes. Delivered from UPS not Home Depot. Only 10 usable boards due to damage. It looked like that damage occurred before shipping. It is frustrating that Home Depot would ship a subpar/damaged product. There was also damage during shipping the boxes looked damage. Due to a time crunch, I wasn’t able to order any more boards to replace these, out of stock, so I had to buy a whole new set.

This is only one of the few preferences that I have and using molding to go around the floors and it always works best.

I chose this to use as a baseboard for my office as I removed the old one while replacing my old carpet with vinyl. I like that’s taller than my old baseboard and because of that it covered the imperfections on the wall caused by removing old baseboard

              Not solid wood.
I expected finger-jointed solid wood, but the product I received is actually mediocre-quality plywood. This means thin sections of the profile that are poorly glued can delaminate and require extra work to smooth else they are visible defects under semi-gloss paint.
