What is recommended to “clean and oil it”? And how frequent should this be done?
Hello Ginger, The Brookside Collection 1-Light Wall Lantern Light will patina naturally with time. All brass fixtures are protected with a quality coat of clear lacquer. Clean your fixture, on a regular basis, with a soft cloth using plain water or a mild detergent soap .Use a non-abrasive paste/liquid wax to provide extra protection, if desired (Turtle Wax or other non-abrasive car wax). Make sure any cleaning or polishing cloth is free of abrasive material. Thank You
Does this light have a finish that will prevent the copper from turning green due to oxidation? I love the shiny copper look, but I'm worried it will turn green in the weather if it's real copper vs copper finish color.

Can you use an LED light bulb
Thank you for your recent inquiry with The Home Depot. Yes, you can install CFL/LED lamps as long as the equivalent rating does not exceed the original maximum wattage. Please pay careful attention to the bulb manufacturer’s warning/caution statements on the packaging or printed on the lamp. For example, many CFL’s will indicate on the packaging that they cannot be used in an enclosed fixture or used with a dimmer. Thanks!
Yes, I used LED light bulbs with standard crew in base. They were extras from a Fein outdoor bistro string light set purchased at Costco.
