Using two or four screws in the corners of the box in your wall and the corner of the extender.
That’s what the 4 open ends on each corner is for but you have to also purchase the box that supports the attachment
Greetings Prout! Thank you for your interest in the Carlon 2-Gang ENT Box Extender. This item is not offered in the 3-Gang.
This extension ring does not come with screws.
Mine did NOT come with longer screws. We keep an assortment of screw lengths. Home Depot actually stocks a box (at most locations) that is inexpensive with multiple lengths of device screws. Hope this helps!
You can purchase longer screws for these. I bought mine there hanging next to the boxes.
Thank you for you question! This cover is our 1/2 in. raised cover part number A420RR.
No, it will not square up a crooked box.
If the crooked box is set back, yes this could solve the problem. If the crooked box is flush to the drywall, it won't help. Hope this helps!
It won't straighten out the box, but may allow the cover to fit square with the world. Mike
Thank you for your question. This product will not straighten the box but it may allow the cover to fit squarely.
No because it screws into the existing box so it would be the same out of square shape. It also would bring the box out farther past the drywall. Your best bet is to purchase a box for "existing walls" or "old work" You will be able to cut a square hole very close to where your box is now, put the "old work" box in and bring the electrical wiring into it and put the outlets in that. The box fastens by tightening against the drywall and does not need to be nailed to a stud.
