About This Product

24 in. laminated pine round is great for making stools, table tops and other furniture uses. It is of higher quality than most other laminated pine products, suitable for painting or staining. It is a solid wood, edge glued to give the round more stability with less cupping and warping. This is not a surface laminate; it is real wood throughout the piece.

I want to make a 20 inch diameter opening in the overall 24 inch diameter piece to insert a piece of stained glass . Wonder if this would hold up on an inside location . Thoughts ? ?

      Answer This Question

This sounds like a creative project! The 24-inch diameter wood round is solid pine and edge-glued for stability, so it should be strong enough to hold up on an inside location with a 20-inch diameter opening for stained glass. Keep in mind that cutting a large opening will reduce the overall structural integrity of the wood round. You'll want to ensure adequate support around the stained glass and consider reinforcing the remaining wood to prevent warping or cracking over time.

Can these be used instead of canvases for paint pouring?
      ByNov 23, 2023
      1 Answer |
      Answer This Question

This product is made of wood. It's smooth and can be painted or stained, so it could potentially be used for paint pouring. However, it's important to note that it's not a traditional canvas. Wood can absorb paint differently than canvas, and the results might vary. You may want to consider sealing the wood first to prevent excessive absorption and ensure the paint flows smoothly.

Is this strong enough to be use to make a rotating bookcase?
      ByApr 19, 2023
      1 Answer |
      Answer This Question

This is more than strong enough. However, you are going to have to estimate the weight of the books so you get the correct device for the rotation. I made a lazy susan for a friend's family room and used a 6" lazy susan turntable with a 400# load rating (from H.D.)

Nice wood, light sanding, some dark walnut stain, and some polyurethane finish. Turned out nice. Used old patio chair bottom to make it into a table for the pavilion.

These are fantastic Round Boards. For my purposes, I was building simple corner shelves, and these were a perfect starting point for some quick cutting, sanding and finishing. If you're doing something similar, just be sure to take the time to pick the grain you want.

I'm gonna give this piece of wood 4 stars. It's nice but I'm wood burning and there were places I couldn't get a good burn because of the glue, I assume.. But im happy with how it turned out and will buy again.

Nice thick flat piece but quite a few knots. I routered out the knots and filled with expiry to avoid tannins bleeding thru finish. Would have been better but more expensive with clear no knots glue up.
