Safer Brand 16 oz. Concentrate Insect Killing Soap kills a variety of insect pests including aphids, whiteflies and mealybugs. Safer Brand Insect Killing Soap utilizes the power of potassium salts of fatty acids to weaken the insect's waxy protective outer shell. Apply every 7-10 days when insects are present or as needed to prevent further damage. This 16 fl. oz. container will make 6 Gal of protection for your garden. Since Safer Brand insect killing soap is a contact killer, several applications may be needed for full control. As a general rule, much like watering, do not use these products in the peak of the day or when temperatures exceed 90° F to avoid wilting or browning of the leaves. It breaks down into their natural elements within 7-10 days and will not persist in the environment.

Insects need to be sprayed directly to be effected by the product. We recommend early AM and late PM as these are not typically the active times for beneficial insects and they are less likely to be sprayed.
My research on this says that is not harmful to bees. It is basically a nontoxic soap. My roses and leaves on the crape myrtles were being destroyed by white flies and aphids. It took care of this but I had to spray the plants and trees numerous times.
This product may be harmful to beneficial insects. As such, we recommend applying in early morning or late evening when they are less likely to be active.
I don't have cats, but I have two dogs, one of whom enjoys eating the occasional rose as the buds are opening. I kept the dogs inside until the Safer spray had dried, which happens very quickly in our climate. No problems with the dogs. (P.S. For grasshoppers, I recommend Nolo bait. I've been using it for several years and it's very effective and also safe for pets. It's supposed to go out as soon as the grasshoppers hatch, so it may be too late for this year.)
We recommend keeping pets out of the treated area until it dries.
We do not have testing information for using this product to treat leopard caterpillars and so cannot recommend it.
This product can be used for blossom thrips.
To avoid contact with beneficial insects, we recommend spraying early in the morning or late in the evening.
Have not had the occasion to us it for that.
This product is not recommended for the Spotted Lantern Fly.
Probably. Its primary ingredient is soap and the primary function of that soap is to fill an insect's breathing spiracles with the soap/water mixture, thus drowning the insect. That makes this product pretty much useful for any kind of pest insect.
Yes, this will work on spider mites.
