Questions & Answers
How long will it work on batteries before new ones are needed?
I do not know how long the lid will operate on batteries, however they offer an electrical transformer that eliminates the need for batteries. This cord came with previously but I guess to keep the cost down it no longer comes with the can.
On average, the batteries last about two months in my household.
What makes the lid open up automatically?
There is a sensor to detect motion. Simply wave your hand over the lid and it will open or close. There are also buttons that can be pressed to make the lid open or close.
There is a sensor on top of the lid that makes the lid open when you approach the trashcan. It will automatically close once you walk away.
Do you have to take the cover off to change the bag or does the lid lift and stay on the can?
