15.4 lbs. Heavy Duty Work Stand with Miter Saw Mounting Brackets

I attached the miter saw brackets to a piece of plywood and attach it to the miter saw as per instructions. It’s at a perfect height for cutting. Excellent construction and very light weight. Very well made. Love it.

As with all the Dewalt tools I own, this work stand is designed for use. The simple fact that miter saws or other tools can be easily mounted or removed puts this design head and shoulders above the rest. As stated it is a "heavy duty" tool. It will last.

This review is for using the saw with the AC Adapter. I have not tried cordless. The saw is nice but has some minor deficiencies. It wasn't perfectly square out of the box but was easy to adjust so no issues there. The soft start works great, and brings the blade up to speed smoothly but instantly. It has enough power to maintain blade speed as long as the blade is not dull, so all is good with the motor. I like the cut line alignment light but wish it didn't disappear completely in the sun. Making angle and bevel adjustments is quick and easy. The angle detents are positive and have no noticeable play. The cord is very high quality and grounded, which is nice to see on powertools. Dislikes: I really wanted to test on battery power but the batteries and charger are prohibitively expensive. Hopefully this changes but at this point it looks like it will just be a corded saw. The process to change blades is cumbersome as the guard mech is in the way. The dust bag is too small and cheap feeling. I suppose it does as good of a job as any miter saw at collecting dust but the bag fills too quickly. Finally the work holding clamps are not included. I had to order as spare parts. The design of the left clamp's knob interferes with the fence so that it must be in a flat position to clear it. I'd like to give it 4 stars based on how it works as a saw. Marketing issues are mostly what bring it down to 3. I still recommend it if you understand the shortcomings.

The miter saw performed as expected...perfect!! I purchased a diablo blade with 90 teeth to complete my trim project, however I did not have to use as the one that came with the saw worked very well. I purchased the dewalt rolling miter saw stand with it. That too is worth every penny. Combined easy to move around... Which is a good thing when limited space in garage. I wish it would have come with the laser as a standard feature... Guess I have to buy it separately.

This is my second one of these and I love them. Sturdy, compact, lightweight. Perfect addition.
