Yes, like butter….
The 14" metal cut-off wheels are made with a premium aluminum oxide blend. This blend is designed for fast material removal and a long cutting life.
This blade is designed for use with a 14" gas-powered metal cut-off saw, and is ideal for cutting steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and sheet metal. It is not recommended for use in a wet saw. The specifications indicate it can cut up to 3" thick material. While it could likely handle a 2" x 4" mild steel piece, the 4" dimension might be problematic given the 14" diameter of the blade. It's always best to prioritize safety and use tools as intended by the manufacturer.
Don't think that would be safe.
Thank you for your question! No, this cannot be used on a table saw.
Hi Woodywoodpecker, This Disc is recommended for a 14" gas powered saw.
Yes, it just has a thicker kerf than the chop saw version
They should cut 3” pipe with ease. They wear faster the harder you apply pressure during a cut. You can’t sharpen them.
Hi Mikey, thank you for your question! The blade is probably glazed over. I would recommend making a few cuts in a piece of mild steel. This should "clean" the blade and expose new abrasive grain. If this happens often, I would also recommend applying less pressure.
Yes it will fine
No, we do not recommend using this on a stationary saw, please use our 14 in. Metal Chop Saw Disc instead. To check it out, just search homedepot.com for Product #DBD014109A01F.
Yes, I have one installed on my Ridged 14" metal chop saw. Works great, I've cut angle iron with it.
Hi Randy, This blade is not meant to cut steel and concrete. We recommend using this blade on metal only.
