About This Product
VELUX EDW deck mount skylight flashing is designed to work with tiles (over 1/2 in. thickness) and high-profile roofing materials. The sill apron is pliable and pleated, making it easy to form the flashing to the roof tiles, and the kit includes adhesive underlayment that provides an additional layer of water protection for a weathertight installation. When paired with the VELUX No Leak Skylight (models FS, VS, VSE) this flashing makes the skylight eligible for the VELUX 10-year installation warranty.

This flashing kit is made for shingle roof applications and will fit VELUX deck mounted skylights: C01, C04 & C06 sized units.
Can I install this model on a flat roof model fs m06
VELUX deck mounted skylights & flashing kits are not suitable for flat roof applications. Please call VELUX @ 1-800-888-3589 to discuss your project and determine what product is needed.
Can this be used on a standing seam metal roof?
No, this ECL flashing is not for a standing seam roof application. VELUX does not offer a flashing kit for curb mounted models on a metal roof. Most metal roofing manufacturers provide flashing materials that are tailored to their specific roofing systems, ensuring a secure and proper fit.
Can I do this without removing shingles? I'm replacing an older dome skylight with a flat one, and was told that I shouldnt have to remove shingles to do it.
Hi Ricky, if your existing flashing is still in good condition, replacing an older curb-mounted dome skylight with a new curb-mounted flat glass skylight typically does not require removing the surrounding shingles. Curb-mounted skylights are designed to sit on top of the existing curb, so the roof shingles are generally not disturbed during the replacement process. Doing deck installation for Velux skylight, Model # FS A06 2004S Roofing material = 1 3/8 inch thick flat concrete tile mounted on a wood batten 1 inch thick. (2 and 3/8 inches total) What is the Velux part number for the correct Velux flashing kit?
VELUX does not manufacture a tile flashing kit for the FS A06 model skylights. May want to consider the FCM 1446 0004 (fixed curb mounted skylight) instead. Tile flashing kit for this model is called: ECW 1446 0000C.
Can this work on a flat concrete roof with a fcm skylight?
Hi Sam. For a flat roof application, you can use our curb mounted skylights (FCM, VCM, VCE or VCS models) You cannot use VELUX flashing for such an application. Flat roofs normally require TPO material or tar & gravel to ensure the curb is water-tight. For the flashing kit ECL 2246 what curb height is needed
You can use 2 x 4 or 2 x 6 lumber.
