Let Lutron's Maestro Occupancy/Vacancy Motion Sensor Switch turn the lights on and off for you. This sensor is a simple way to save energy and add light automation to any room of your home, turning lights on when you enter the room and off when you exit. It features XCT (cross-correlation) sensing technology to detect fine motion, such as typing at a desk or reading a book, to ensure lights won't turn off inadvertently when you're still in the room. It also learns your preferred natural light level and keeps lights off with smart ambient light detection. Program your lights to turn off 1, 5, 15, or 30 minutes after you leave the room. Alternatively, you can set the motion sensor to vacancy-only mode to only turn off the lights when you leave a room, to meet Title 24 requirements. Great for many locations such as bathrooms, laundry rooms, kitchens, and garages for added convenience and energy savings. This sensor works with any bulb type, including LED bulbs. It matches the entire Maestro product family line (sold separately) to give you a complete and coordinated look in your home. Install using the ground wire if no neutral is available in your home. Coordinating Claro wall plate and accessories sold separately.

Hello Luis! To adjust the timeout settings on your Maestro motion sensor, please follow the instructions on page 2 here: https://assets.lutron.com/a/documents/048461.pdf#page=2
Luis, Thank you for your question and for choosing Lutron for your lighting needs. I believe you are referring to the Auto-Off function of the sensor. By default, the sensor is configured to automatically turn the lights on and then automatically turn them off after a 5-minute timeout period. If programming changes have been made, you may also perform a factory reset to restore the device to its original out-of-box settings. Please refer to the programming instructions for guidance on how to complete this process. https://assets.lutron.com/a/documents/048461.pdf#page=2 If you are experiencing different symptoms or having trouble with your sensor, please feel free to contact our 24/7 Technical Support Team at 1-888-LUTRON1 (588-7661) or email us at support@lutron.com Amy @ Lutron Support
Hello Cory, thank you for your inquiry. This sensor belongs to the Maestro family, which does not have RF capabilities and cannot be connected to the Lutron App. If app access is a must, we strongly recommend going to the Caséta line of products. If you would like to discuss your specific application in more detail, we have representatives available 24/7 and would be happy to help find the right control. Feel free to reach out to us anytime at 844-LUTRON1.
No, under Massachusetts electrical code, a green wire is specifically an equipment ground and is meant to be connected to the grounding wire or grounding point. This is both permitted and required, as long as it is not connected to a neutral or hot conductor. We would recommend consulting a licensed electrician for additional similar questions. If you have any other questions about Lutron products, please feel free to reach out. We're available by email at customersatisfaction@lutron.com, or give us a call us 1-844-LUTRON1. We're here 24/7, so call us any time!
Yes, provided the garage stays above freezing. The Lutron MS‑OPS2 activates with passive infrared and is rated for 32°F to 104°F (0°C to 40°C). It works well in attached or insulated garages, but in unheated garages that drop below freezing, performance won't be guaranteed. If you have additional questions or concerns, we're here to help! You can reach our Customer Satisfaction team at customersatisfaction@lutron.com, or call us 1-844-LUTRON1. We're here 24/7, so call us any time!
Michael, The MS-OPS2 allows you to adjust how long the lights stay on after motion is no longer detected by changing the timeout setting. To adjust the timeout, press and hold the On/Off button until the sensor lens begins to flash. While continuing to hold the button, count the number of flashes, then release on your desired setting: 2 flashes = 1 minute 3 flashes = 5 minutes 4 flashes = 15 minutes 5 flashes = 30 minutes Once released, the switch will save that timeout setting. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact Lutron Technical Support 24/7 at 1-888-Lutron1 (588-7661) or email support@lutron.com Amy @ Lutron
Hello! Yes, pets can still activate the motion sensor. Please refer to the "Vertical Beam" diagram on page 6 here: https://assets.lutron.com/a/documents/369666.pdf
Hello! Yes, the MS-OPS2 can work with two seperate fixtures. Please ensure that both fixtures do not exceed 2A of load. When used with two fixtures, both will turn ON at the same time when motion is detected.
