What type of adhesive do I use to glue these on the ceiling?
Auralex Tubetak Pro is guaranteed not to oxidize foam products and provides a permanent bond. It is a water-based adhesive and it works with standard caulking gun.
Will it stick to the wall?
Not on their own, some type of adhesive or mechanical fastener is needed to attach the panel to the wall. Auralex sells EZ Stick tabs, FoamTak spray adhesive, or TubeTak liquid adhesive. Each of those products is designed to attach the panel permanently to the wall. Other types of fasteners can be used as well, depending on your need. Be very careful and make sure that whatever adhesive is used does not react to the panel and cause damage.
Is it fire proof or fire retardant?

Can these be covered in fabric and/or painted to create custom sound-absorbing artwork?
