They will work for all types of rg6 coaxial cable, including quad shield. Make sure the external shielding metal is completely isolated from the copper core once it’s crimped in the connector, and that the copper core conductor extends about 1/16-1/8 past the threads of the swivel.
The question makes no sense. These are for Coaxial cable (coax) like RG6. Coax is the cable with a wire down the center and a shield around that (2 conductors). Cat5 is a completely different kind of wire. It consists of 4 twisted pairs of wire (total 8 conductors) It uses RJ45 connectors. Also, never use Cat5. It's been obsolete for 15 years. Use Cat6. These are the best connectors we found for coax.

They are not rated as weatherproof connectors. That said, enclosing them in weather boots (typically supplied with antennas) will ensure they last for many years. Slip the boot over the wire before fastening the connector!
No there isn't any seal
These connectors are not designed for outdoor use
Yes, they can, however they should be protected from the weather. If you are putting up a permanent connection, you don't want to have to regularly check the connection for moisture, when you start having reception issues; so do it right the first time. There are electrical tape-like waterproofing products that can be used, or you could silicone the connection completely. Also, make sure that your connection is TIGHT!
