There appears to be several questions about chips in the enamel on this tub, but none of the "how do I repair it" questions are answered. American Standard, can you answer this question?

The Models 2390LH and 2391RH are made with higher standard "Amerilast" material, which includes a layer of polyester on the underside of the tub for stability, durability and better insulation as well as being less noisy when the shower is running.
Hello Doug, This is a great question! The main difference is the material that they are made out of. Our Princeton Pro tubs (1390202.020) is an enameled steel tub. Our original Princeton tub does have a thin layer of enameled steel but it also has our Americast material, which is a composite material. It helps with sound and insulation. Sincerely, Your American Standard Consumer Connection team
