Thank you for your interest in Danco products and for your inquiry. Danco model number 88820 is designed to be used in lavatory sinks and has not been designed or tested for use in the manner that you have suggested. Therefore, we cannot ensure the safety, integrity, or performance of our product.
I apologize. I was unable to use this because it was not wide enough, and the mesh was too long.
Thank you for your interest in Danco products and for your inquiry. Our 8820 fits 2-1/2 in. drain openings, but the basket that dips into the drain has an outside diameter of 1-1/8". Thank you for contacting Danco. This is intended for 2-1/2 inch drains in bathroom sinks.
If you existing sink does not have a stopper now or one that can be removed and the sink hole is big/small enough to accomandate this strainer then yes it will be a great asset to you bath room. I use a larger one for my kitchen and another one for my bathtub. I use nothing else as these are the best, catch everything and last forever.
You can use it in a bathroom sink, BUT, the mesh of the screen is so fine that mucus (from brushing your teeth) will not flow through. YUCK !!
It should if your drain is 1 1/8" at the opening.
Yes that's what it is made for
We bought ours for the bathroom sink. It works fine. Installation: open package. Drop strainer in the drain. Dispose of packaging. I think you can do this.
That is what I bought it for, and it works perfectly. Measure across your drain, and if it is 2.5 inches, it should work fine.
about 1 inch
2 1/4 at top and about 1/2 inch at the bottom.
Thank you for your inquiry. It is approximately 1-1/2', but will flex to some degree.
It tapers down from the top. It's approximately 1 1/8" across the top which is the widest part.
2 1/2”
Thank you for your interest in Danco products. Unfortunately, we do not offer a mesh sink strainer in polished brass.
do not know, but I have never seen one in polished brass. You might find the complete assembly in polished brass including the sink strainer as part of the assembly, but the one shown here I have never seen in anything color except what is shown
no
1" inch diameter??. I have never seen anything so small. You might be better off putting one layer of cheesecloth over the drain opening and changing it out frequewntly.
yes, worked for mine
Yes it should. The mesh is about 1 inch in diameter for the lower part that goes down in the sink. The top part with the metal bank and mesh sits on top of the sink and the lower part goes down into the drain.
Thank you for your inquiry. The upper outside diameter is 2-1/2". The actual smaller opening that dips down is 3/4".
yes
