About This Product
The TRIXIE natura Classic Dog House is a great place for your pooch to rest when spending time outside. Our weatherproof solid pine construction will withstand the elements so they will have their favorite retreat for years. The raised floor and tongue-and-groove exterior protect your furry friend from chilling wind drafts. The slanted roof allows water to drain to the back. The sloped roof is covered with a heavy-duty mineral roofing felt for greater protection against mother nature. Integrally designed legs lift the strong floor off the ground to prevent rising dampness and ensure adequate air circulation. This will help keep the floor cool in the summer and warm/dry in the winter. The plastic covered feet are adjustable to allow you to level the house on uneven ground. Questions & Answers
Will a grown golden doodle fit inside? Mine is about the size of a golden retriever and is approximately 45 pounds
Hi Cece, this size doghouse is suitable for dogs up to 70 pounds that are around the size of a labrador retriever. Thank you for your question.
What is the size of the bolts that connect the back and side of the doghouse? I'm missing one that holds the sides together.
Hello, the bolts needed to connect the front, back, and side panels are countersunk screws with dimensions of ø 0.236 × 2.362 in. Thank you for your question.
Can the exterior be painted?
Hello, this item is already painted with an animal safe, water-based stain, but it can be repainted. Thank you for your question.
Is it possible to make the doorway bigger ? This would be for a large (75lb) tortoise!
Hi Jack, the front panel/doorway for this dog house comes assembled. We cannot recommend changing the structure of the house in anyway, as this would compromise the integrity of the house, making the manufactures warranty void. Thank you for your question.
I plan to use this for feral outside cats. One of them has had the tendency to spray every other shelter I put out (and they were a rigid cloth material so I couldn't get it out). Is the wood treated on the inside in case of the need to hose it out?
Hi Kim, this item is completely covered in a water-based stain and weatherproof sealer, including the interior. This should help with long term outdoor use and cleaning. Thank you for your question.
My dog is 90 lbs. is this strong enough? I don?t see weight capacity
Hello, the weight capacity for this doghouse is 95 pounds so it would work well for your dog. Thank you for your question.
How wide is the doorway
Hello, the dimensions for the doorway are 13.25 × 19.50 in. Thank you for your question.
What is the inside length and the inside width of the doghouse? I?m wanting to buy a self-warming mat for it also. Thank you.
Hello, the interior length and width of the small size model is 29 x 16 in. Thank you for your question.
