Questions & Answers
What is the diameter of the round end that attaches to the wall?
Hello, That would be 3.5 inches. Thank you.
Is this designed for 16 inches on center installation?
Hello, It was not specifically designed for it as the bar can be mounted vertically, horizontally or at an angle. Thank you.
diameter of bar
Hello, The diameter is 1.25". Thank you.
Hardware offers no proper anchors to hollow wall placement.
Hello, The weight capacity for this item is 350 lbs. Thank you.
Can this be mounted near the door outside? I want one inside by the door and outside by the door, in addition to outside the shower.
Hello, Great question! Yes, the grab bars can be mounted wherever they are needed. Thank you.
Total length please? I know it is 16? but that is just the handle I presume. I just want to make sure it will hit the wood when we screw it in vertically. I appreciate any help! Aloha!
Hello, The total length is 18". Thank you.
What type (flat head, oval head) and size (No 6, 8, 10) screw is recommended? Are screws included with the bar?
Stainless steel screws are included with the bar.
I bought it almost a year ago but I am pretty sure it comes with screws. I don't recall having to look for any. You definitely want a flat head as you would rip up your hands while gripping the bar.
At 16", are the mounts set to hit the wall studs?
Yes, if you mount it horizontally. If you position it at an angle, as I did for my father’s bathroom, you will need to use some type of “moly” bolt or other device that has a high pullout strength.
