This premium HDX replacement refrigerator water filter fits in place of Whirlpool Filter 7 (UKF7001AXX). Certified against NSF/ANSI 42, 53, 372, 401 & CSA B483.1 to reduce Lead, Cyst, VOC's Pharmaceuticals (such as Naproxen, Ibuprofen and Phenytoin), BPA, PFOA & PFOS as well as Chlorine taste and odor to ensure high quality and performance. This economical filter will deliver fresh, crisp, clean tasting water and ice cubes that you can trust for your family. Engineered with the power of 0.5 micron coconut shell compressed carbon block, this filter provides tremendous capacity to reduce impurities such as sand, silt, sediment rust, chlorine taste and odor that may be present in your drinking water. The carbon block has millions of active sites on its surface and within the structure which can absorb impurities like a sponge, and can hold other types of impurities on its surface like a magnet. Additionally, this filter can catalytically breakdown other impurities similar to the way a catalytic converter works in your automobile. These processes ensure that you are getting the cleanest and best tasting water possible. This economical filter will provide fresh and clean tasting water and ice cubes. Easy DIY installation filter with a life capacity of 300 Gal. or 6 months, whichever precedes. Using this filter will replace 1500 water bottles reducing the amount of plastic waste in our landfills. I purchased the HDXFMM1 as Everydrop no longer makes the Filter 7 and was told by u to buy this.When tryed to install,2x ,both times when turning filter it stopped halfway before the stop line. I used it anway. Is that ok>

FMM-1 seems to be getting discontinued. Is there another compatible filter I can buy?

I use water filter fmm-1 in my maytag refridgerator. Home depot no longer carries fmm-1. Is there another HDX filter I can Use?
