Does the stainless steel spot from hard water or fingerprints
Hi Donna, this is Lisa with Kohler Co. I am glad to assist with your question. While this Verse sink is manufactured from premium 18-gauge stainless steel, water spots or staining can still occur. It is recommended to use our Kohler Stainless Steel cleaner, once a week to help clean, polish and protect the sink's surface. Thank you for choosing Kohler.
This sink was installed 4 days ago. Tiny brown spots are appearing at the bottom of the sink that cannot be removed with stainless steel cleaning or scrubbing. I have been using a silicone mat and Dawn so no harsh treatment. Is this already rusting?
Hi Monica, this is Autumn with Kohler Co. I'm sorry to hear your Verse kitchen sink is developing rust spots within. I would like to help by giving suggestions on removing the rust. The material itself, cannot rust. This is likely caused by some sort of minerals in your water or items in the sink. We recommend using Kohler Stainless Steel cleaner and nonabrasive cloth or sponge, working with, not across, the grain. We do not recommend the use of steel wool, wire brushes or abrasive sponge pads. We suggest cleaning stainless steel at least once a week. Allowing water to evaporate on metal can form water deposits or rust. To avoid this and keep your product looking beautiful, it is important to wipe the sink clean with a soft cloth after each use.
