Redding Station 1-Light Tarnished Silver Outdoor 12.5 in. Wall Lantern Sconce

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Redding Station medium LED lantern is a nice bronze outside light. The warm light illuminates the deck well. The light is also easy to install.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This wall sconce looks even better in person. The Restoration Bronze finish feels solid and high quality, and the classic barn-style design adds just the right amount of character. With an LED bulb installed, it gives off a warm, clean light that’s bright without being harsh. It’s energy-efficient and perfect for entryways, hallways, or exterior walls. Easy to install and feels like a great value for the price.

The light fixture was delivered promptly without any damage. It installed without any problems above my kitchen sink replacing a previous hideous fixture. I used a low wattage (2 watt) led bulb that provided adequate light over the sink at night. I leave the light on overnight as a night light. I am attaching a picture of the wall lantern installed over my sink.

This light is fantastic and we love the look of it. construction is very solid and the actual installation of the light is very simple. light distribution is excellent, we chose an LED clear bulb and it lights our entire walkway much better then the light we had. What really makes this light shine though is its design, very unique and nothing plane jane about it. The reason I gave it 3 stars for installation is because the mounting plate for this fixture is over sized, which for proper fit on our vinyl siding mounting block, meant we had to get a larger one. Not a problem for me, but others may want to check fit before throwing the box away.

This is an attractive outdoor light fixture. Very easy to install and extremely light weight. The first picture shows the light in the box, there was some foam on the bottom and cardboard holding the light in place. The light did not seem to move and arrived in perfect condition. The second picture shows the items included in the box. There were a few things that were not included that usually are included. There is no light bulb included. No wire nuts are included and you need to provide your own screws to attach the supplied bracket to your light box. This was not a problem at all for me, I have plenty of these. The third picture shows how I attached the supplied bracket to the electrical box. It shows that I used 2 wire nuts to connect the hot and neutral wires (black and white). I always use black electrical tape along with the wire nut as you can see. This has 2 advantages, the first is that it keeps the wires together better than the wire nut alone. The electrical tape also adds a bit of water resistance to the wire connection, which I feel is a great idea when wiring outside. The forth picture shows the light attached, this is a very light weight light and made it easy to attach the wires and even allow the light to hang from the wires. I always connect the ground wire to be a little shorter than the other wires, then the ground wire is what the light actually hangs from. The last picture shows the light on with a bulb in place. You can also see the white around the light from the caulk I used. This is actually clear caulk that applies white but will disappear in a couple of days. I caulk the top and both sides to seal water from getting into the light box. I do not caulk the bottom because if any water somehow gets into this light box by the wires, it has a way to get out. I gave it a 4 for quality because the bulb socket that is in the light seemed light it was going to break when I put the light in. We like this light very much.

This light was the perfect style we needed for our house! It has a very attractive finish that matches the other lights we have. We actually changed the location of a light box so we could put this in on a corner. Thanks for making such an attractive product! We are mid-remodeling the outside and are making plans to include this on the rest of our house, under the porch, etc

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I do not have this hung yet but wow it’s a showstopper piece! And it is massive. I was not expecting it to be so big. The features seem great and I’m sure it works wonderfully. Can’t wait to see how usable it is once my hubby finally puts it up!

Easy to install. Dark Sky compliant. Looks great.
