Questions & Answers
Would it be possible to attach this shade to a gazebo with zip ties?
Possibly, but you would want to reference the installation manual for the Coolhaven 12 ft. x 12 ft. Sapphire Square Shade Sail and make sure your gazebo meets the minimum requirements like thickness of supports, distance between emplacement points, etc. The installation manual can be found on the product details page under "Info & Guides".
What is the difference in these 2 products: model # 473945 (hardware included) and model # 473822 (no hardware but nearly twice the cost)? Both 12'x12' and fabric quality seems to be the same.
Can I put this on a gazebo frame
Greetings, Possibly, but you would want to reference the installation manual of our shade sail and make sure your gazebo meets the minimum requirements like thickness of supports, distance between emplacement points, et cetera. Do these come in a smaller size
Yes we offer other sizes, Please visit our website.
hello..does this come with hardware included in price? It does not state that it does, but there is one that is less in price which does incliude hardware so I am really unclear?
No
I made that mistake and it cost $40 for the hardware! I don't understand why they have this one in their system??? I was very bummed out they did nothing about it. total rip off for not shopping it better on their own web page.
Only the Shade sail. Hardware needs to be purchased in order to install it properly.
What color would you say this is? Is it a yellow shade or is it a tan shade- some of the descriptions of the colors of these shades dont match the pictures!
Sand colored, NOT even remotely yellow.
Its definitely more of sand tan than golden tan. Not the yellow tint as in the picture. I would upload a pic if the website had that option
It is more sand than yellow.
Pat, Coolaroo's Sahara sun shade is a shade of tan, more akin to sand, and is not yellow. Thanks for your query! 1-800-560-4667 | https://www.coolaroousa.com/questions
It is more tan than yellow.
It is more tan than yellow/golden as in the picture.
This one is pretty true to the photo. I would call it a golden tan.
I want the sapphire color but I also need the hardware
Hello, kit (includes) hardware - coolaroo item# is 473952 hardware alone item # is 473839
Does this coolhaven allow water to pass through such that it does need taken down at rainstorms?
We don't have a problem with snow and ice, but the material allows rain water to pass through and not collect, even in a heavy storm.
This is our second shade sail over the course of 10 or more years. The furniture underneath gets damp when it rains (and that may be due to wind) but we live in southern California so it is not so much a concern for us. If you just need shade I would highly recommend them. The only time we have taken them down is during very high winds. If it is installed taught/tightly they can withstand some significant winds (see spec sheet for details). The beauty of these is that they are so easy to take down and put up. And when they wear out you just purchase another!
Greetings, Coolhaven shades are made of porous material, and do allow rain to pass through them, but Coolaroo does recommend installing them with one side lower than the other to allow rain to run off of them, as pooling rain can stretch the fabric.
