Is this a shiny stainless that resembles chrome or brushed stainless that resembles brushed nickel?
Mine was actually stainless-steel. Very stylish, and easy to keep clean when installed in an outdoor rural setting.
It is what they call a Brilliance stainless finish. It is not the bright hit you in the eye stainless

Two questions: At Lowe's, the package says "brushed Nickel". Is that correct? Is this really brushed or is this what you are calling stainless? Second, 18" is too short and 24" is too long to fit the space - can the bar be cut (for 21")?
Yes it appears to be brushed nickel. They match our faucet that are Brushed Nickel. Yes you could cut it, as the long rod just fits into the holes on the handle. but be careful as it is round and you do not want to bend it all all, as it might not fit. One plus is if it does is not what you want you can return it. One last thick I do not really see a big difference in Brush Nickel or Brushed Stainless. Just my opinion.
Yes it is brushed and yes it can be cut. Very easy to install and it comes with a paper pattern layout so you can level it and pre-drill the holes at the correct locations. I suggest if you cut bar, just fold the layout to the length you need.

Can this be installed inside the tub on tiled wall? Will is rust or corrode?

No.
Not with the mounting hardware provided. It is intended to be mounted on metal brackets secured to a wall by screws. This doesn't mean you can't be creative.
It is designed for wall mount, requiring screws. I don't think it could be applied to a glass door unless it was glued on with a very strong glue that would withstand the weight of the bar and whatever was hung on it. Otherwise you'd have to drill through the glass and put some kind of backing on the other side to hold the screws. I would be concerned about the glass cracking.

How can I get the mounting bracket that is missing from my towel bar package? The oil rubbed bronze is not carried in the store. I ordered three pieces of this collection online and had it delivered to me; I have no receipt. I have attempted to call the 800 number for customer service with no success.

I would ask Home Depot to take care of that for you. I received cabinetry that did not have all the shelf brackets, and they were able to give me a "secret" number at the manufacturer who promptly put a package of them in the mail. Good luck on getting your hardware.
